Leftover Halloween Candy Recipe (part 2): Whopper Chocolate Chip Cookies

So, I told you all about Halloween (and our costume) in my last post, but since this is a continuation I thought I'd share this adorable picture of our little Winston in his Gorton's Fisherman costume!!
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 cup butter (2 sticks, room temperature)
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large eggs
1 cup leftover Halloween candy (Whoppers in this case)
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions:
1.) Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2.) Cream together butter, oil, eggs, sugars and vanilla extract.
3.) Add the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt) and mix until combined. Do not over mix.
4.) Gently fold in your Halloween candy (whoppers) and chocolate chips.
5.) Shape into round balls and bake for 9-12 minutes.
Enjoy!!!
